What are woven bags?
Woven bags are constructed from a plastic canvas that has been woven together with yarn. We have plenty of different designs and colourways to choose from, all including comprehensive tutorials to guide you through them.
What is the benefit of crafting?
Over 70% of Craft Club customers in March 2026 said crafting benefits them as a way to relax and to have a creative outlet. There is a deep wellness theme across responses, as customers have used craft to manage anxiety, ADHD, and stress.
What is plastic canvas weaving?
Plastic canvas weaving is simply weaving yarn across a plastic canvas to create a design that can be shaped into a 3D piece. The plastic canvas itself is a grid that is malleable and can be shaped upon completion. We primarly use them for our Woven Bag kits.
What makes woven bags unique?
Great question! Think of it like crafting your own stylish handbag from scratch! You’ll be working with fabric, stitching, and weaving to create a piece that’s as cute as it is functional.
What is a long stitch?
A long stitch is a singular straight stitch worked to any length in one direction: whether horizontally, vertically or diagonally. This is the stitch used in woven bag kits.
What is feather yarn?
Feather yarn is a lightweight yarn made from multiple strands and is very soft and fluffy. It works perfectly as a base for moss craft, as the strands blend to form a cohesive, soft surface.
What needle is used for woven bag kits?
We use and include a plastic weaving needle in each woven bag kit! The plastic is much easier to manipulate while working than a steel needle, and is easy to thread the yarn through.
Are needle threaders necessary?
Needle threaders are not strictly necessary for woven bags, but are incredibly useful. While you can thread the yarn through the needle with your fingers, some may find it finicky or difficult. Needle threaders significantly reduce this difficulty and get you working on your project faster!
Are woven bag kits suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! This kit is super beginner-friendly. No weaving experience? No worries! We’ve got easy-to-follow instructions and a step-by-step video guide to walk you through the whole process. You’ll be making your own stylish bag before you know it!
What if I want to change the design?
Go for it! We've created a multitude of different patterns, but if you want to alter them in any way, you're more than welcome to. To make the process easier, make sure you're marking your new pattern on the canvas before weaving.

Fun activity, but poor quality accessories
I enjoyed the process, and the bag is super cute! Really simple to weave too, great TV watching activity. Couple details let the quality down though - the clasp snapped while I was trying to attach it, I only received one loop (so couldn’t attach the long chain), and the embroidery thread was a bit short, so I had to finish my handle stitches with some basic black I already had.

Good kit for beginner
I bought this kit for myself, then my daughter started to join. She's 8 years old and enjoyed doing the weaving. It is easy to follow the instruction: the pattern and tutorial videos. I'm so happy that me and my daughter loved to do this kit together.
Fun Craft!
Got this as a Christmas present and brought it out for a snow day. It’s such a fun and quick craft! Plus the Canadian shipping came right from a warehouse in Ontario, which made it quickly to my gift-giver’s house!
I’ve been doing cross-stitch/crochet since I was a kid, and the experience definitely made the weaving process quicker, but a beginner could totally follow along with the tutorials. Everything is clearly laid out and explained, and the chart is very easy to follow. I finished the whole project in about an hour.
The yarn is acrylic, so not the top quality but it is far from the worst quality of acrylic yarn and was quite soft and fluffy. The closest natural fibre yarn I would compare it to is alpaca, which is pricey to put into kits. There was more than enough materials to finish the kit as well.
Highly recommend, I enjoy every minute of it! Will be getting another kit.

Fun craft on the plane
It was easy to make. I even was able to make it during a flight, and I had multiple people in flight attendance comment on it. Everyone was curious about the outcome and it did not disappoint.
Loved putting it together
Loved putting it together. It wasn't hard tofollow the video instructions. The fluffy wool is very forgiving if you miss a row and go back to it later. It's seamless. Only another 3 to do before Christmas lol

Im so happy with how it turned out. The videos were easy to follow. I did end up making a small mistake but it was easy to fix. Its such a cute bag!
Super fun kit but hoping for better yarn quality
The kit was super fun to make! The only issue is that the yarn seemed lower quality than what I was hoping it to be—a lot of fluff came off and by the time I had finished it, there was a lot of fluff on the floor lol! The overall bag still looks great but I do worry about fluff coming off in the future.

I had so much fun putting this piece together! It looks just exactly how I imagined it to be! All the materials are of high quality, only the needle threader sadly broke... The magnets are also quite strong, so it's a little bit hard to open the bag. All in all I love the little details that are included and I also appreciate the uncomplicated shipping!
