What are woven bags?
Woven bags are constructed from a plastic canvas that has been woven together with yarn. We have plenty of different designs and colourways to choose from, all including comprehensive tutorials to guide you through them.
What is the benefit of crafting?
Over 70% of Craft Club customers in March 2026 said crafting benefits them as a way to relax and to have a creative outlet. There is a deep wellness theme across responses, as customers have used craft to manage anxiety, ADHD, and stress.
What is plastic canvas weaving?
Plastic canvas weaving is simply weaving yarn across a plastic canvas to create a design that can be shaped into a 3D piece. The plastic canvas itself is a grid that is malleable and can be shaped upon completion. We primarly use them for our Woven Bag kits.
What makes woven bags unique?
Great question! Think of it like crafting your own stylish handbag from scratch! You’ll be working with fabric, stitching, and weaving to create a piece that’s as cute as it is functional.
What is a long stitch?
A long stitch is a singular straight stitch worked to any length in one direction: whether horizontally, vertically or diagonally. This is the stitch used in woven bag kits.
What is feather yarn?
Feather yarn is a lightweight yarn made from multiple strands and is very soft and fluffy. It works perfectly as a base for moss craft, as the strands blend to form a cohesive, soft surface.
What needle is used for woven bag kits?
We use and include a plastic weaving needle in each woven bag kit! The plastic is much easier to manipulate while working than a steel needle, and is easy to thread the yarn through.
Are needle threaders necessary?
Needle threaders are not strictly necessary for woven bags, but are incredibly useful. While you can thread the yarn through the needle with your fingers, some may find it finicky or difficult. Needle threaders significantly reduce this difficulty and get you working on your project faster!
Are woven bag kits suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! This kit is super beginner-friendly. No weaving experience? No worries! We’ve got easy-to-follow instructions and a step-by-step video guide to walk you through the whole process. You’ll be making your own stylish bag before you know it!
What if I want to change the design?
Go for it! We've created a multitude of different patterns, but if you want to alter them in any way, you're more than welcome to. To make the process easier, make sure you're marking your new pattern on the canvas before weaving.

Worth it and Fun, but..
This was really, really fun to do! I do have some (small) nitpicks.
I personally would have preferred to have all the instructions written down, instead of videos. Second; the colors are very close and I can’t really see the pattern that well (better lighting than on my photo doesn’t matter that much). The end quality is also pretty flimsy, the bottom corners are also sticking out and that plastic is pretty sharp.
That being said I really enjoyed making it, the end result is cute and I think for the price it’s worth it :)

Took a few days to do. Very much enjoyed working on it and instructions were very easy to follow, first timer here too! The yarn is fluffy, forgiving & aesthetically pleasing. Would recommend & buy again !!

I really enjoyed this kit!!! I've received a kit as a gift (and also gifted my sister one as well too). It was really fun and easy to do -- the video guides really help walk through the steps when making the bag. Doesn't take too long once you've gotten the hang of it. The end results are really cute (I feel really acocmplished with myself for making such a cute bag)!!! Will definetly get more in the futurefor me and my friends!!!

This bag was such a joy to make! I love the neutral colour scheme, making it go with any outfit! It's a Christmas present for someone very special, I know she's going to love it! The video tutorials are great and easy to follow. This is my second woven bag, I might just have to make another one, I'm addicted!

It was a lot of fun making this bag. The Video instructions were clear abd easy to follow. The finished bag looks very cute. There was more than enough yarn, so no worries of running out.

I did the Woven Bag DIY and it was really relaxing. The process of weaving the yarn was pretty easy once you get the hang of it. I think it would have been easier if the tutorial on their website had a voice explaining what you should do instead of just music in the background, because this way I was’t really sure in which hole the yarn is supposed to go through in the beginning. But once you get the hang of it, it’s really easy and relaxing and you don’t even need the video anymore. And to have a finished product in the end that you can actually use on a daily basis is super cool, because every time I use the bag I think of how I made it myself which is really nice. Also the idea with the supplies bag that you can later use as a lining for the bag is really cool and super practical.

Was a bit difficult at the start but after a while I got the hang of it and ended up being really fun to do that I finished it within a week. My friends were really surprised that this bag was hand made and that they said it looks professional XD.

This was my first time making woven bags and it was so fun!! I got the black gingham version as well for my friend so we could craft together and it was so fun for us to learn how to do it and make a practical final product! Instructions made it pretty simple as well, though it took some time to figure out what yo do/draw on the templates at first. Overall, highly recommend!!

Really fun and easy to make
A really fun beginner friendly kit that creates something that’s also useful in everyday life! It took me around a day in the weekend to complete a bag and it’s so cute. The finish product is a great size.
The provided materials could be of better quality though. The crossbody chain is mediocre quality and the feather yarn sheds a little.

Très bon kit, néanmoins il serait encore plus pratique et agréable que le patron soit déjà directement reporté sur la grille plastique, pour que l'activité ne consiste vraiment qu'à la création du sac ! La partie report du patron (qui plus est qui n'est pas à l'échelle sur les feuilles) est assez laborieuse.
