What are the benefits of latch hooking?

Fun but the quality is meh
I fell in love with latch hooking after creating the 2 tulips and I felt like this was a great follow up. However, I noticed that the wool was not soft and quite grainy. The quality was not as good as the rug. The finished product is great but again because of the quality, it doesn't feel as comfy to lay or sit on it. Lastly, it's fairly easy to accidentally rip wool out of the finished product. I had to replace a couple but none the less, I still liked doing it.
