As somebody who has never picked up a needle or thread in their life this kit made embroidery feel SO MUCH less daunting. The instructions were clear as day, the steps were easy to follow, and now I've developed an unshakable urge to keep embroidering !
I'd give it a 5 but the thread color was way off. The two butterfly colors look so close to the same it's hard to see the contrast.

Love this design! Been having so much fun doing multiple of the embroidery kits, it’s such a rewarding, accessible and fun activity!
I love this kit, so cute and I’m really excited to finish it and hang it up on my wall. My only issue is that I find it quite hard to get it to look like the reference picture, and I think it might be because the needle given is bigger than the one used? I could be wrong, but for the more detailed bits it wld be good if the kit included a smaller needle.
Hi Amy, thanks so much for this feedback! Our sample was stitched using the exact same needle and cotton thread included in our kit so you can rest assured the tools are the same. However this is one of our more advanced designs and the long & short stitch used on the wings can often look different for different people - especially if you're using more than one strand of thread. I find all crafters have a different 'signature' when it comes to those stitches and maybe thats why your finished piece looks a little different. We will take on your feedback about the more detailed sections though and test out some alternative needle types to see if it changes the effect. I hope you still enjoyed the stitching process though :)
