Crochet has quite a few benefits. Firstly, it's a great way to practice mindfulness. It allows you to focus on one thing deeply, using your hands to craft your very own floral piece.
Another benefit is that crafts of all kinds have been proven to help with anxiety and stress. Having any creative practice is a great way to reduce the stress levels associated with our busy lives in the modern world.
Finally, crochet is a very practical craft. Once you learn the basics, you can build your skills to create all kinds of functional items in your life. From clothing to homewares, there is a huge range of practical things you can make with crochet, and it's a skill you can use for a lifetime!
What's the difference between milk yarn and chunky chenille yarn?
The difference between milk yarn and chunky chenille yarn is in their weight and number of strands. Milk yarns is thin, soft, light, and made up of multiple yarn strands. Chunky chenille yarn is heavier, thicker, and is a single strand. Both are beginner friendly, but milk yarn is used more for detailed pieces, and chunky chenille is mostly used for larger plushes.
What is crochet?
Crochet is a craft where yarn is interlocked using a hooked needle to create textured clothing or plush toys. Each stitch in crochet is completed before starting the next.
What is the stuffing made from?
The stuffing is made from polyester fiberfill. This keeps your crochet piece not only full, but soft!
What type of yarns are in the chunky crochet kits?
In our chunky crochet kits, we use chunky chenille yarn. The soft, thick yarn is perfect for our oversized amigurumi designs.
What kind of hook do I need?
You'll need a large hook for chunky crochet. All materials needed will be inside your Craft Club kit, so there's no need to guess!
Is crochet easier than knitting?
Crochet is typically perceived as easier than knitting. This is due to crochet only needing one hook, whereas two are needed for knitting. With patience and practice, they can be just as easy as each other!
Is chunky crochet okay for beginners?
Chunky crochet is absolutely okay for beginners! The thicker nature of the yarn and hook makes it easy to see what you're doing and count your stitches.
I've never crocheted before!
That's okay! Included in our kits are access to technique tutorial videos and the pattern. These are perfect for beginners.
Can I wash my chunky crochet?
A gentle wash would be ideal to clean your chunky crochet plush pieces. Alternatively, spot cleaning for a smaller area.

I bought the Strawberry + Pumpkin bundle and absolutely loved how they turned out! 🍓🎃 They’re both so cute and I’m really happy with the finished results.
That being said, I personally found both kits to be more intermediate than beginner friendly, especially the pumpkin. The yarn and hook sizes made things a little trickier, and some of the techniques, especially making the stem, were definitely challenging for me.
The tutorial videos were helpful, but I think I was spoiled by The Woobles tutorials, where they really break everything down step by step. If you’re brand new to crochet, I’d honestly recommend starting with The Woobles first to get comfortable with the basics. If it weren’t for what I learned from them, I probably would have given up on these projects way too soon lol.
Once I got the hang of it, though, I had so much fun and LOVE how they turned out! Just my personal experience, but I would rate both of these as intermediate, with the pumpkin being the trickier of the two. ❤️
A very squishy strawberry!
I had so much fun making this strawberry. The only issue I had was with the crochet hook handle that was slightly too big for my small hands and it caused some hand fatigue but that was easily solved with getting a smaller handle hook at the craft store. I also had enough yarn leftover to make some cherries with the red and green yarn. I did get the set for the pumpkin and daisy so those are next on my list of things to make.
Gorgeous kit
I’ve struggled with crochet in the past as i always found it confusing to start however this kit was amazing, the videos were so helpful and really go through each step slowly and for a beginner like me to easily follow with. Could not recommend it enough 🥰 still cannot believe how cute it looks
Strawberry crochet
I was gifted this for Christmas and it was the best present I received, the whole experience was wonderful, as someone who is just learning how to crochet this was an easy to follow kit , I finished this in 2 days , I will for sure buy more kits in the future to gift to myself this time .
super cute and soft
this was my first time ever crocheting and it was super therapeutic! i do admit at the start i was getting frustrated at the start because i was still trying to get used to the grip.. but eventually (like 15 mins later) i got the hang of it and finished it all in one sitting! Will buy more future chunky crochets 🩷🩷
First time crocheting and loved it!
This was my first crochet project and I loved making it. The videos were so useful to learn from (especially as I could pause them all the time!).
I’ve tried crochet five separate times prior to this kit
I’ve tried crochet five separate times prior to this kit, and never managed to get my head around it. Took another few tries I’m not gonna lie! But this one finally stuck and I’ve conquered the crocheting craft!
The quality of the yarn and the stuffing, as well as the equipment and tutorials is top tier. Have bought from them before and will again!
So fun!
This was beginner friendly and so fun to put together. The video tutorial was much better than other companies I've tried in the past. Highly recommend!
A Berry good time 🫶
This was my first ever attempt at crochet!! I bought the set with the Pumpkin and Daisy for myself and two friends, we spent a wholesome Sunday crafting together and I absolutely adore how this turned out 🥰 the video guide was SO easy to follow and once I got the hang of the basics I was able to switch from the video guide to the printed instructions. And the squishy soft texture of the yarn was so nice to work with!!
So easy!
The videos were incredibly helpful! I’ve never followed written instructions (pattern) before, though I wanted to learn how. Having the pattern and the videos helped me to better understand how to read the pattern. There were also questions answered in the videos the pattern didn’t touch, very helpful for a beginner with only a few flat projects completed. Thank you!!
Fun squishy kit
I really like getting this kit from my husband! The quality of the yarn is really good and in the instructions were nice and colorful and big print and easy to follow. I was just a bit upset that when I was almost done making my strawberry the yarn had run out. I did get send more yarn but had to wait two weeks which was a bit disappointing because I was on a roll! In the end I love my product
