They're pre-sewn with a soft suede-style backing and zip, meaning that all the hard work is done for you! Simply latch-hook your front, stuff it with a 50cm cushion insert and it's ready to go! Don't have an insert? Don't worry - we sell these too.

You'll also need scissors while completing your rug. We recommend using medium sized scissors that are nice and sharp so you get clean cuts on your yarn!

✂️ You can use any scissors you are comfortable with, but we recommend our 'Rug Trimming Scissors' as they are the perfect size for working on your rug! They are extra sharp and made of high quality steel.

What are the benefits of latch hooking?

Aside from being totally addictive, latch hooking is a fantastic tool for mindfulness. If you've ever tried meditation and found it too hard to focus, this activity is for you. Is latch hooking hard?

No! And we really mean it. Latch-hooking is a super simple technique that allows you to create gorgeous shaggy bags or rugs with affordable materials. You're simply learning how to make a knot with your latch hook, then repeating the same simple action with each colour section you need. Our kits include pre-printed canvas meaning that you don't need any complicated patterns. All you need is your kit and you've got everything you need to create a masterpiece!

What if I struggle with the kit?

Our kits are designed to be easy. They come with pre-printed backing that you can easily follow and simple instructions. We also provide a video tutorial if you prefer to watch and stitch along!

Finally, if you really struggle, the Founder of Craft Club will personally give you a 30 minute class via Zoom.

Are your kits good for recovery?

Latch-hooking is a very accessible craft if you or a loved one is in recovery or on bed rest. It's mess-free and can be done comfortably in bed.

Its low impact on your hands, and is still comfortable for our customers who struggle with grip strength. It's also great for building back muscle strength in your hands as well as hand-eye coordination.

Finally a craft I can do!
I've tried embroidery and knitting and I couldn't get the hang of it, so I tried latch hook. I can't stop!! I'm already half way through my first pillow, and it might not be neat but I know I'll improve with more I do. It's ideal for me as I wanted something calming to do that didn't involve being online all the time. I've now ordered another pillow and rug so I can immediately start my next one as soon as this is complete. THANK YOU!

This kit was my first introduction to latch hooking & I loved it! This particular kit was free because of what I spent. I wasn’t sure how I would like the design but it ended up turning out great. I got compliments from family members saying it’s pretty. I actually gifted this pillow to my mom.
The only thing that frustrated me with this was the physical grid compared to the guide. It was a bit off & not exact. They do mention following your gut when it comes to this but it still stressed me out. Lol, other than that it was all good! I genuinely love Craft Club Co. I’ve found myself a new hobby & I can’t wait to start working on my next kit. 🫶🏾

I can completely understand what you mean about sometimes the grid not being 100% perfect, unfortunately this can happen in the printing process because all of our artwork is hand-drawn and can result in slight misalignment between the printed art and square grid. But I'm glad you still found it easy to interpret - it can be a new experience going with your gut and trusting the process :) So glad that you still enjoyed the process, your finished cushion looks wonderful! I picked up some latch hook kits as someone who has tried a bunch of different fiber art crafts looking for a craft that I could do on those days I wanted to do something with my hands but I was too tired to count stitches or squint at embroidery for hours. This has definitely been perfect for those days - and any days - and I was surprised how much I loved it. Even though it's just one motion for the whole pillow I've had heaps of fun and not gotten bored. The kit itself was great quality, had easy to follow pattern and instructions and made it super easy to start the day it arrived in the post.
