Qu’est-ce que le demi-point ?Le demi-point est une forme d’artisanat à l’aiguille ! Le point de tapisserie est un art vaste et varié qui consiste à utiliser une aiguille, du fil et une toile pour créer un motif. Vous avez probablement déjà entendu parler de techniques de broderie comme la broderie ou le point de croix.
Pourquoi nos kits s’appellent-ils Half-Stitch ?Nos kits de demi-point sont une variante de la tapisserie traditionnelle : ils utilisent un fil léger cousu à travers une toile amidonnée. Nous avons appelé nos kits « half-stitch » en référence au type de point utilisé, le « demi-point de croix » ! What is needlecraft?
Needlecraft is a broad term for textile crafts that are handmade using a needle and thread, or yarn. Centuries-old techniques including embroidery, knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, needlepoint, and quilting fall into this category.
What is half stitch?
Half stitch is a simple diagonal stitch that makes up just one leg of a full "X" in cross stitch and tapestry. It's super easy to learn and the perfect gateway into needlecraft.
What is a StitchReady™ kit?

Is half stitch hard?
Absolutely not! Half stitch is an incredibly simple technique that is perfect for beginners looking for a new hobby and seasoned crafters looking for a relaxing project.
Can I complete this kit screen-free?
Absolutely! Our half stitch kits not only have the pattern printed on the pouch, but a paper pattern is included to refer to. While we do have handy video tutorials and guides, it's totally up to you whether you utilise them or just refer to the written instructions.
Are needle threaders necessary?
Needle threaders are not strictly necessary for half stitch, but are incredibly useful. Yarn used for half stitch is thicker than embroidery floss and tougher to thread only with your fingers. Needle threaders significantly reduce this difficulty and get you working on your project faster!

Great pouch (needs improvements)
This is my first time half stitching. I cross-stitched as a kid but it’s been many years. A couple of things to note; website describes their pouch projects as 4-7 hours, this is going to take about 10+ hours even for someone with experience (it took me well over 25 hours). Now the pouch itself: very cute design and very happy it came with everything you need to make it. However, the design does NOT match the instructions. The printing is off. So you will need to decide which pattern you are going to follow. Also, once completed I noticed the zipper sticks ever so slightly, which feels like a quality control issue. Overall I still gave it a 4 star because the end result was very cute but it needs some improvements before I’d give it 5.

Chart is way off
I really wanted to love this pouch because the product picture is so cute and I really enjoyed stitching the Goose pouch. However, the chart provided does not line up with the print on the pouch. I’ve been fudging my way through, but it just hasn’t been fun to work on. I also ran out of red before I could finish all the red sections which just made me more frustrated.
Definitely skip this one if you’ve never done half stitch before. One of the small pouch kits would be a better option.

Perfect for a beginner!
I’m having so much fun with this kit. I’m very much a beginner and wanted something with simple instructions to get me started. This kit is perfect. Between the videos and the printed guides, I am able to follow along easily. And even with some mistakes I’ve made, the thread and pattern are very forgiving. I already ordered more half stitch kits because I know I’ll want to keep going! I still have a good bit to finish but included a photo of my current status.
Love this letter pouch kit. Happy colours and just the right size to keep envelopes and cards in, to use as a letter writing kit or greeting card holder. The pouch could be used for lots of different things, let your imagination go wild. These kits have been great to get me off my phone and doing something more relaxing and with a feeling of achievement. The kits have everything you need and with easy to follow instructions.
I haven't finished it yet but having a great time working on it so far! The only issue I've run into is that if I follow the paper pattern instead of relying on the printed material, I run out of room at the edges, but I just redesigned a few things myself and made it work.
Harder than other, but worth it!
I absolutely loved this half-stitch! Its probably the hardest one to do as the pattern is more finnicky, but it's so worth it! I would highly recommend it once you have completed one of the other half-stitches, like the Duck Duck Goose or Highland Cow.
I truly love that all the materials pack up inside the pouch itself - so its the perfect craft for on-the-go!
I have already ordered more!
Bad print
I mainly do cross stich; however, I saw this zip n stich and thought it would be cute to do while traveling. The printing on this bag though is so off! I followed the guide most of the time for accuracy but that then defeats the whole "needlepoint" concept if you wanted to stich and not have to look at the pattern. Overall love the pattern, quality control is just lacking especially as the thread isn't the best either.

Cute but inaccurate
Don't get me wrong this is a cute craft BUT it's definitely not for a beginner and it definitely requires some guess work and decision making.
The stitch itself is definitely beginner friendly however DO NOT trust the pattern.
The included pattern is 135x100 stitches. The pouch itself is 120x90 so if you follow the included pattern you're screwed.
No worries, just follow the printed pattern on the pouch, right? Wrong. It's printed off centre of the lines so at some point you have to refer to the included pattern to see where it's meant to go. Even then you also need to remember or refer back to what you changed because the left and right sides are a mirror image of each other. Don't want a wonky pattern? Want it all to fit? Better remember what you did!
I know they say it's 'super forgiving' if you make a mistake but it honestly feels like a way of saying 'don't worry that it's wrong, buy our craft anyway!'
If you are prepared to have a bit of guess work and to spend time undoing and redoing things then sure this might be the craft for you.
If you're looking for a relaxing mindfulness activity or have never tried any crafting/pattern work before - this is definitely not it.

Quality? Control
I am pleasantly surprised with the quality of the canvas, the art lines up for stitching and the way the canvas is attached to the canvas and the durability of the canvas is top notch.
Now for the question mark. The zipper is pretty janky and probably won’t hold up for long. The thread/yarn is among the most nasty things I’ve ever felt in my life. What is that made of? It immediately went into the trash!
Overall the price ($45) is fair. Do not include the stitching material (I don’t know what to call it). You are doing your reputation and your product a disservice.

Cute but not great quality
I was so excited to get this kit when the birthday sale came around! I've done cross stitch before, but this is my first half stitch pouch. I had a lot of trouble with this kit, though. The printed pattern on the pouch did not match the design pattern sheet that came with it. The designs were also uneven -- things that should match, like the birds and the flowers, were different sizes or didn't line up right. For instance, one set of flowers was way too close to the bottom of the pouch, and the other side was way too close to the top, so it was hard to stitch. I also had some issues with the thread; the bright pink thread kept fraying and was hard to use, though most other colours were okay.
I wanted to love this so much, and it is super cute and a great size, though not sure if I would buy this again :(

The design is hand-drawn, so there are intentionally small differences between each side, but it should still match the paper pattern closely, so we’d definitely like to look into what may have gone wrong here.

Printed AWFUL
Not beginner friendly because it is a guessing game. Low quality canvas that breaks and lays weird. Overall good colors and good thread but will not buy again.

I was not aware pre-finished kits were available and this one is GREAT! The colors are vibrant. The instructions are very easy to follow and the finished product is just so cute! It’s also very affordable and shipped quickly!

I ordered this kit because I wanted to try my hand at tapestry. It was such a hit! It includes everything that you need to do a beautiful needlepoint pouch. The design is just like on the website and I’ve had a wonderful time doing it.
Great, affordable option
While the thread gets a little snagged sometimes and doesn't glide smoothly through the holes, it is overall a good product. I just got into needlepoint, and this is incredibly more affordable than finishing a canvas into a pouch.
The product has a very strong odor from the dye, im assuming. Id hoped it woild lessen but i just kept sneezing from the chemical smell. Im not sure what fiber was sent, definately not yarn or any DMC type that i expected. I bought because the pattern is very sweet. The print is at least two maybe three spots off, very difficult to follow. I would say this is kitted for a 10-12 year old. Not of good quality, maybe a 10 year old would enjoy and feel satisfied. I give this two stars because the pattern is very cute.
