Our MAGICAL MOSS Rug is here to bring a small piece of paradise into your home. Designed to look like a babbling brook surrounded by textural moss and rocks, this rug is not only a handy decor piece but a sculptural masterpiece as well!
This kit is includes a HUGE amount of supplies totalling at 32 items - with all tools and multiple yarn included. Yarn types include chenille yarn, milk yarn, feather yarn and bobble yarn all in multiple colours.
This kit uses multiple weaving and crafting techniques. It's perfect for absolute beginners as it comes with full video tutorials for each technique, however it's also great for seasoned latch-hookers wanting to try something new.

Our kits come with everything needed to sew the coaster backing on, but you may want to use fabric glue or hot glue if you have it handy.
You may also want to use sharp craft scissors for cutting your base. Our Ergonomic Moss Scissors are perfect for this kind of project. You can find them here.

What’s included in a Moss Rug Kit?
All material to create your very own Moss Coaster is provided in the kit. Various types of yarn, mesh canvas, pom pom scissors, plastic weaving needle, steel needle, thread, felt backing, hot glue sticks, printed pattern to transfer, instructions and a link to video tutorials.

Moss craft combines various types of yarn and multiple kinds of stitches to create a mossy-looking creation. While it doesn't contain any real moss, you'll have a little patch of nature that stays forever green!
How long does it take to make a Moss Rug?
Our moss rug kit can easily be finished in 2-4 sessions. Between 3-8hrs depending on how fast you like to work.
What is milk yarn?
Milk yarn is a soft-textured, lightweight yarn that is made up of multiple strands. While it's not actually made of milk, it's perfect for adding latch hook and pom pom elements to your mossy creation.
Are pom poms easy to make?
Poms poms are a pretty straightforward aspect to make to enhance your mossy creation. They can be either open or closed, large or small, or even brushed out or shaggy. There is so much opportunity to add depth to your piece.
What is feather yarn?
Feather yarn is a lightweight yarn made from multiple strands and is very soft and fluffy. It works perfectly as a base for moss craft, as the strands blend to form a cohesive, soft surface.
What is chenille yarn?
Chenille yarn is a medium-weight yarn made of a single strand. It's commonly used in crochet and to create fuzzy loops in moss craft.
What if something is missing from my kit?

Surprisingly Easy!
I bought this kit on impulse one night and was surprised by how easy they were to make! Creating the rug was great fun and the end product turned out amazing! I even got confident enough to change up the design! I’ll definitely be buying more!

Part of Christmas gift - very well received !
We bought our niece a moss coaster for Christmas in 2023, so when the rugs came out we knew she would love them & we were set for Christmas 2024 ! Yay - thanks for making gift giving easy. She is working on it already - cannot wait to see it finished.
