A first of its kind
Needlepoint has been around for centuries, but the kits had always stopped at the stitching.
We wanted something different. A kit where the making and the using were the same thing. So we developed StitchReady: pre-finished needlepoint kits built around a three-sided zipper, so you stitch the front panel, close it up, and end up with a real, finished object — a cushion for your couch, a pouch for your bag. No sewing machine. No finishing service.
Craft Club is the original creator of the StitchReady kit — the first to develop and bring this style of needlepoint kit to market. It's a small idea with a big consequence: it turns "I made a thing" into "I made a thing I use every day."
What makes it StitchReady
Not every needlepoint kit is a StitchReady kit. StitchReady means three things:
1️⃣ It's pre-finished by design — the kit is built so the making and the finishing happen together, not in two separate steps.
2️⃣ It's made to be used — a cushion on your couch, a pouch in your bag. You don't store a StitchReady piece. You live with it.
3️⃣ It's genuinely beginner-friendly — no sewing machine, no finishing service, no prior experience. If you can follow along, you can finish it.

StitchReady began with the launch of our Half Stitch Pouch category!
Our half-stitch pouches were the first StitchReady products we ever made — the first kits we designed around that finish-it-yourself principle, where a beginner could go from flat canvas to a zipped, usable shape in one sitting. They were the proof of concept for everything that came after. The pouches showed us that people didn't just want to stitch; they wanted to finish.
The cushions are the next chapter of the same story — the StitchReady idea, scaled up to the centre of your living room.
How StitchReady came to be
Dec, 2024 — The question
We kept hearing the same thing from our community: "I love stitching, but I never know what to do with the finished piece." We started sketching kits that answered that question by design.
June, 2025 — The first StitchReady pouches
We developed and released our half-stitch pouches — the first kits built on the StitchReady principle. Customers went from canvas to a finished, zippered pouch with no extra tools and no finishing service!
Dec, 2025 — Prototyping the cushion
We began developing a larger format: a pre-finished needlepoint cushion with a three-sided zipper, so the maker stitches the front and closes it into a ready-to-use cushion. Early prototypes were tested with real beginners!
Apr, 2026 — Refining the construction
We worked through 5 rounds of prototypes — adjusting canvas, zipper placement, and instructions — until a complete beginner could finish a cushion confidently, start to end!
Why we're telling you this
We're a small, content-led brand, and we care about doing things in the open. StitchReady is something we genuinely pioneered — we commissioned it, developed it, tested it, and named it. We're proud of that, and we think it matters that the people who buy our kits know where the idea came from!
