What can I do with embroidery?
Embroidery techniques can be used to personalise clothing, accessories, or even decoratively mend pieces. You can create works of art for display, or decorate something handy, like a tote bag.
Is cross stitch or embroidery easier for beginners?
It depends! Our cross stitch and embroidery kits are all beginner-friendly. While cross stitch has a single and easy to master technique, the patterns aren't printed on the fabric. Embroidery, on the other hand, has the pattern printed, but has more than one technique to learn. Either way, we have comprehensive tutorials to guide you.
What is the benefit of crafting?
Over 70% of Craft Club customers in March 2026 said crafting benefits them as a way to relax and to have a creative outlet. There is a deep wellness theme across responses, as customers have used craft to manage anxiety, ADHD, and stress.
Can I make my own designs?
Absolutely, you can! By drawing your design or printing one and tracing it onto the fabric with a water-soluble pen over a lightbox or window.
What is embroidery?
Embroidery is the craft of decorating fabric or other materials using a needle and thread or yarn. Unlike basic sewing, which is used to construct or repair garments, embroidery is purely decorative.
Are these kits beginner-friendly?
Yes! All of our craft kits are designed to be beginner-friendly. We believe that creativity is for everyone, and want to give people the confidence to find their creative side.
What are the hoops made from?
Embroidery hoops are typically made from bamboo - and this is what the hoops in our kits are made of. There has been a rise in plastic hoops being used, but they can be a bit pricier.
Are there guides included?
Yes, video and written guides are included in our embroidery kits. We want to make crafting as enjoyable as possible, so there's no way we'll leave you hanging!
Is embroidery hard to learn?
No, embroidery is not hard to learn. It does take practice to increase your skill, but we make kits perfect for beginners, so you're more than safe to start here.
Do the minis come with all three patterns, or do I have to choose one?
All embroidery minis kits come with enough materials to create all three patterns! No need to try and choose a favourite, because we sure couldn't!

Great embroidery kit
I liked it so much I got a second! The second is going to be a gift.
Easy to follow instructions and the thread quality is good. The eye of the needle is small and it can be challenging to thread when using 6 strands of thread.
I added fusible interfacing to the inside to protect the back of the embroidery when the bag is in use.
I would also recommend tying the handles down when doing the embroidery as it is very easy to accidentally loop the thread through them. This avoids any unnecessary unpicking. I just used two elastic bands.

I loved how there's a QR code for videos to show the different stitches. It was incredibly helpful as complete beginner. One thing I would have liked more is to put the multiple sheets of direction on one page or consolidate it so that I don't have papers all over the place. Overall, I really enjoyed this project and look forward to many more!

I loved how there's a QR code for videos to show the different stitches. It was incredibly helpful as complete beginner. One thing I would have liked more is to put the multiple sheets of direction on one page or consolidate it so that I don't have papers all over the place. Overall, I really enjoyed this project and look forward to many more!

As usual the project is beautifully packaged with everything you need. The instructions are super clear. I'm really looking forward to getting started!
The kit provides everything you need and the stitches are really well explained! It makes learning a new skill soo much fun, I'll definitly buy more in the future! <3
A nightmare
Honestly quite a nightmare to make, coming from someone with extensive embroidery experience looking for an easier project. Mainly because the needles provided are too thin to puncture through the tote fabric, so to get things through I’d usually have to pull the needle with my teeth. Not recommended.

I found Craft Club via an instagram ad and purchased a few different kits. I loved this embroidery kit. It had super clear instructions, the pattern printed onto the bag which is such a one for new people to the craft! This is the second bag I've purchased. I've loved making them and then passing them on as a gift bag. Very much would recommend for any skill level.
