There’s just one simple technique you need to learn - the Half Stitch! 🪡

Pull your thread up through point 1, then bring it diagonally across your canvas and push it down through point 2.

That’s it! Just repeat this motion across the entire design to bring your pouch to life.

🧰 Half Stitch Tips & Tricks

🧵 Use shorter lengths of thread to avoid tangling.

🌈 If you're unsure of which color to stitch, go with the color that's showing up most in that spot. These designs are super forgiving, so you won't notice once it's done!

✂️ If you're jumping less than 2cm away, it's totally fine to stretch your yarn across the canvas. If it's a bigger gap, it's best to tie it off!

How to Beaded Half Stitch

Now that your half stitch section is complete, its time to add in your beading section!

Beaded half stitch uses the exact same stitching technique, however you're going to be threading a single glass bead onto each stitch that you make. It's a slower process than regular half stitch, but its detail and durability is worth the wait.
