If you're reading this - thank you! We appreciate you supporting our small business by one of our Beaded Curtains kits! We hope you have an incredible time learning how to craft your very own suncatcher-style beaded piece.

How This Guide Works

This page is going to take you through every step in the process of crafting your beaded curtain kit. From the materials inside your kit, to the beading process and finally hanging your finished piece. Scroll down to see each video tutorial and use them in combination with your physical pattern printed inside your kit.

Getting Started

Inside Your Kit

Your kit will include:

⭐ High quality plastic beads (each design will have slight variations in the colour, transparency and facets of your beads)

⭐ Clear anchor beads (these are slightly smaller than your other beads)

⭐ Metallic crimp beads

⭐ Beading thread

⭐ Craft pliers

⭐ White rail with end caps, internal bead pieces and hanging sliders

⭐ Suction hanging hooks x2

⭐ Sticky hanging hooks x2

Reading & Understanding Your Pattern

Before we dive into beading, this video is going to take you through your pattern in detail. We'll explain exactly how to read and understand your pattern, to ensure you can start beading easily once you've learned the technique.

Diving into Beading

How to Create Your Beaded Curtain Kit

In this video we'll be taking you through the entire beading process -  from starting your beaded strand to finishing it and securing it to your hanging rail. If you want to jump straight into crafting, this is the video to watch!

Continuing Your Beading

Now that you're comfortable with the beading technique, its time to fill in the rest of your pattern! You'll be crafting each strand from the left to the right side of your pattern, counting from the bottom of your pattern up each strand.

Finishing Touches

Displaying Your Curtain

Now that you've completed your beaded curtain kit, its time to display your piece! We've included 2x types of hooks in your kit, meaning you have a range of display options to explore.

Using Suction Hooks

Suction hooks are a great temporary option for hanging up your beaded curtains. If you're unsure where to hang your piece, we recommend trying your suction hooks first before settling on a permanent location.

⭐ Display on a window to use as a suncatcher, allowing the sunlight to shine through your transparent beads.

⭐ Display on a mirror as an alternative to a wall, the reflection will add extra colour to your piece as well.

⭐ Display on a fridge or other smooth surface using the suction cups, as another wall alternative.

Using Sticky Hooks

Our sticky hooks are a more permanent option when hanging up your beaded curtains. Peel off the sticker at the back and place them firmly on a wall or any flat surface to use them.

⭐ Display on a clean wall, a white wall will increase the vibrancy of your transparent beads

Avoid sticking your hooks on a rough surface such as a brick wall as it may not stick as well. You can also purchase speciality hooks (such as Command hooks) to hang your curtains on walls such as tiles or bricks.
