Is latch hook difficult to learn?
Not at all! Latch hook is easy to learn and quick to master with its single technique. All of our kits include all necessary materials and video tutorials.
Do I need anything else?
No. The canvas, the pre-cut yarn and the hook are all in the box, and the base is already finished so there is nothing to glue or sew. The only exception is cushions, which need a standard 50 cm insert you add at the end.
How long will it take?
Roughly 6 hours for a tote, 8 for a cushion, 12 or more for a standard rug, and 20 or more for an XL or mirror rug. It is a Slow & Steady craft — most people do it in front of the TV over a few weeks and enjoy that it lasts.
Which one should I start with?
If you want a quick win, start with a tote or a cushion. If you want the full experience, start with a rug — they are the most-reviewed and the most loved. The technique is identical either way, so it really is just a question of how many evenings you feel like filling.
What if I mess it up?
Pull the loop back out and do it again. Latch hook is one of the most forgiving crafts there is — nothing is glued or sewn until you decide it is finished. Support replies fast, and every kit has a 30-day money-back guarantee.

How do I finish my latch hook project?

Yes, your latch hook project can be washed! We recommend machine washing on a gentle cycle in a laundry bag.
Can my kids do latch hook?
As latch hook doesn't contain or need sharp implements, and is a single, simple technique, it's perfect for a large variety of ages. Latch hooking with your kids or family could be a great group activity to create something together.
What happens if I lose my latch hook?
If your latch hook tool has broken or been lost, you'll be able to buy a replacement in most craft stores. If that's not an option, you can also use a crochet hook or your fingers to pull the loop of yarn through the canvas to tie it.
